DESCRIPTION

Gateway Mat Pilates Immersion for rehabilitation professionals and allied professionals is an immersion course designed to provide an introductory understanding of Pilates and the Polestar approach that encourages successful, result-driven movement experiencesEach participant will gain the ability to incorporate the 20 Pilates Mat exercises into their daily practice. 

  

This course includes a virtual asynchronous component of 3 hours in preparation for the live portionThe live portion consists of two full days of experimental labs for well-rounded and collaborative learning. You will experience a variety of movement sequences throughout the courses that can be immediately incorporated into health and wellness programs. 


COURSEWARE

Accesss to online support materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and manual.

 

Participants of this course will earn the pre-required hours of practice needed to enroll into future Teacher Training Courses with Polestar.


OBJECTIVE

Following this course, participants will: 

  1. Define the history of Pilates and its principles of movement. 

  1. Demonstrate the ability to perform 20 Pilates Mat exercises. 

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in teaching 20 Pilates Mat exercises. 

  1. Identify movement deficiencies in self and clients. 

  1. Modify exercises to meet the needs of unique clients.
